Studio Rules
Welcome to Blank Space Studios! Please review the following rules to help us maintain a clean, welcoming space for all.
Photography Sessions & Booking Requirements
Each session requires its own photographer. (If you need a photographer reach out to our email.) Only one photographer is permitted per booking. If additional photographers are needed, please select the add-on option during booking (up to three additional photographers). For groups with more than three photographers, email us at theblankspacestudios1@gmail.com to arrange a custom invoice, which must be settled before your session.
Studio Displays and Props
Our seasonal displays (Christmas, Valentines Day, etc.) and props are here to add a touch of magic to your photos! Feel free to adjust and personalize the setup during your session. Before you leave, you must reset the seasonal display to its original arrangement so the next guests can enjoy the same experience.
Set-Up and Take-Down Time
Your reserved time includes setup and takedown. Arriving early or staying late may incur additional charges ($2 per minute or $10 per minute if you interfere with another booking). Contact us if you're running behind to see if an extension is available.
Studio C Access
Studio C is NOT a kids room. Studio C is Newborn Studio, and is available only to those who have specifically booked it. Unauthorized access to Studio C will incur a $100 fee, along with the cost of any damages.
Studio Switching
Switching to a studio you did not book will result in an additional full-hour charge ($75/hr).
Clean-Up & Disposal
Please take a moment to remove all trash, hangers, tags, and other items. Diapers should be disposed of in the dumpster outside Studio B. For any messes beyond typical use (glitter, excess fuzz, etc.), please clean up before you leave. A $20 removal fee applies for excessive trash left behind.
Damage & Notification
Inform us immediately of any damages or mess upon arrival to avoid being held responsible. We would hate for you to be blamed and have to pay for something someone else has done.
Notify us if any linens or blankets become soiled so we can clean them immediately. For large messes or use of props like glitter (with a $25 cleaning fee add-on), please ensure a thorough cleanup. Unreported messes may incur a $50 cleaning fee.
Glitter and Confetti Use
Glitter and confetti are welcome with a $25 add-on fee, but please note: you must clean up as thoroughly as possible after your session. While we will perform a deep clean, there may be clients using the studio before we can get to it, so it’s essential that no mess is left that could impact their experience. If glitter or confetti remains that creates issues for others, a $50 cleaning fee will be charged.
To assist you, each studio is stocked with brooms, a mop, wipes, and a hand vacuum. Please take the time to ensure all glitter and confetti are cleaned to the best of your ability. Thank you for helping us maintain a clean and welcoming space for everyone!
Adhesives & Wall Safety
Nails and standard tape are not permitted. Command strips and washi tape are allowed with caution (please test a small area first). Damage to any studio property, including walls, floors, furniture, or plants, is the responsibility of the booking party. Minor touch-ups will incur a $25 charge.
No Flames Allowed
Open flames and candles are prohibited. Battery-operated candles are permitted.
Cancellation Policy
We offer rescheduling with 48 hours' notice for bookings up to two hours and 72 hours for longer bookings. Refunds are not available.
Furniture & Décor
Furniture may be rearranged but should be lifted rather than dragged. Items cannot be moved between studios. A $20 fee will apply if we need move things back.
Key & Security
If applicable, please return the key to the lockbox and scramble the code upon departure. Ensure all doors are locked and lights are turned off ($20 fee if we must secure the studio). Lost keys will incur a $100 replacement fee.
Curtains
Curtains should not be unclipped. Tiebacks are available for your convenience.
Intended Use
Use the space according to your booking type. Pop-up shop bookings, for example, cannot be used for photoshoots.
Liability
Blank Space Studios is not responsible for any personal injury. Please ensure the safety of everyone in your group.
Pets
Pets are welcome with a $25 add-on fee per pet (up to two pets). For additional pets, please contact us at theblankspacestudios1@gmail.com and we will send an invoice for the additional little fur babies.
We do welcome pets in the studio BUT it is your sole responsibility to clean up after them. All hair must be removed at the end of your session and floors must be cleaned. Pets are not allowed on the furniture.
If a furry friend shows up unexpected to your shoot please notify us immediately so you can get the pet fee taken care of. If you fail to do so and we see it on the cameras you will be billed for the pet fee as well as a $100 cleaning fee.
If your pet damages any furniture or other decor, you will be expected to replace the damaged item, or the value of the damaged item.
If there are any "accidents" left behind you will be charged $200 plus the pet fee.
Event Rentals
Events require a refundable $200 cleaning deposit, which will be returned if the space is left clean and tidy please email us directly for a custom quote/invoice for your event. theblankspacestudios1@gmail.com
